In September-October 2018, the ConQuest Consulting team, on behalf of Decathlon Sp. z o.o., conducted an analysis of the European sports equipment testing market and sports commissions in Europe with a focus on Poland.


The report included an analysis of dozens of competitors operating in Poland, as well as more than a dozen competitors doing business in major European countries. Mystery Client surveys and expert interviews were also conducted to identify market trends and practices in the analyzed industries. Complementing the analysis of the sports commission market was the identification and research of the most popular European applications and websites for the sale of used sports equipment. The scope of the project was also extended by a consumer opinion survey conducted on several hundred respondents using the CAWI method. As a culmination of the report, recommendations were presented to maximize the potential for Decathlon's innovative services to succeed in Polish conditions.


The report, professionally prepared in terms of content and graphics, provided a lot of valuable information, which was a significant help in deciding the further development strategy of the services offered. In order to work together as effectively as possible, prompt communication and flexibility to the demands and proposals made were maintained throughout the project. The results of the report were presented during a professional presentation of the work including recommendations to maximize the potential of Decathlon's innovative services to succeed in Polish conditions.
