Still in 2020 considered it too high a priority 38% company. W 2024 that percentage was already 84%. Just as the internet or ERP systems once did, artificial intelligence is now marking a new stage in business's digital evolution. 2025 uses it only 8,7% Polish companies, which means this revolution is just gaining momentum. This process is expected to be further accelerated by the grant program Dig.IT, offering funding up to 850,000 Polish złoty for companies planning to implement new technologies.

What are the benefits of company digitalization?

The digitization process includes the implementation of technologies such as ERP systems for enterprise resource management, CRM platforms for customer service, cloud solutions, process automation, or artificial intelligence. The benefits of these solutions are measurable and cover many areas of operation simultaneously:

  • Shortening process lead times: Automation of routine tasks eliminates delays and errors resulting from manual data processing.
  • Better quality decisions: access to current sales and cost data
and real-time production replaces estimation-based management.
  • New sales channels: Digital presence allows for customer acquisition online and servicing previously inaccessible markets.
  • Faster innovation Digitized processes shorten the time to market for new products and services without the need for a proportional increase in staffing.
  • More efficient cooperation Electronic document management with suppliers, customers, and partners shortens order fulfillment times and reduces the risk of communication errors.
  • Competitive advantage: higher operational efficiency and Better customer service translate into a stronger market position.
  • Data security and integrity digital archiving with access control
Backups protect information more effectively than traditional paper-based workflows.

What areas of digital transformation are currently a priority?

Businesses wanting to respond to Key directions of digitalization must consider Four pillars of modern businesscloud, artificial intelligence, automation, and cybersecurity.

The importance of the cloud in the functioning of companies is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by PwC: 87% firms plan to increase spending on cloud services within the next 12 months. Entrepreneurs are deciding to change their cloud infrastructure mainly due to cost optimization (39% respondents indicated this factor as one
(of the three most important), artificial intelligence integration (35%), and security issues (27%).

Artificial intelligence is not without reason a priority in business strategies worldwide:

  • Companies are increasingly implementing chatbots, which, by combining natural language processing with machine learning, improve customer service and support sales, guiding potential buyers through the subsequent stages of the sales funnel.
  • AI effectively delivers personalized product recommendations, which is particularly appreciated by the e-commerce and real estate industries.
  • Marketing departments gain a tool for precise audience segmentation
and creating advertising campaigns tailored to business objectives: sales, lead generation, or building reach.
  • Sentiment analysis, also known as emotion AI, allows you to track customer reactions and monitor brand image based on reviews and ratings.
  • In logistics, AI optimizes the entire supply chain: from forecasting material prices
and delivery times after determining the fastest routes.

In the context of cybersecurity, two EU legal regulations play a significant role: NIS2 and DORA. NIS2 imposes cybersecurity requirements on a wide range of economic sectors, including energy, transport, and healthcare. DORA goes a step further in the financial sector, requiring banks and financial institutions to test the resilience of IT systems, manage risks associated with technology providers, and report significant digital incidents.

The main part of the project budget should be the purchase of technology supporting digitalization. For other expenses, such as training, fixed assets, or materials necessary for implementation, a maximum of 40% costs.
